History

Opened in 1956 as a shopping simple community-style, American, which has always been and still is maintained by Castagna Realty family, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006. It was not until the 1980s, however, that the center, recognizing the wealth of the region's famous Gold Coast of Long Island, gradually became a luxury shopping boutique. When the end of 1990 the international designers, including but not limited to Prada, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Escada, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Burberry and Ralph Lauren opened its sophisticated independent designer shops, the center was able to stand comparison and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, which is about 20 miles (32 kilometers) away, and Rodeo Drive in California.
